tyrone07 Posted January 4, 2005 Share Posted January 4, 2005 got back from holidays last nite from wooli nth coast and i will say the fishing was not all that good. no surface action at all not even any dollies out at the fad. the pearlies were thick though and always eat well. i was getting mine on 3 inch bass minnows in the blue colored 1. also some nice plate sized snapper and we also caught 8 fish 1 evening that looks just like a mangrove jack but it is a greeny colored fish with a black spot ive got photos ill post in a little while. any ideas. thanx tyrone Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

patl Posted January 5, 2005 Share Posted January 5, 2005 Same species - Moses Perch (Lutjanus russelli), Mangorve Jack (Lutjanus argentimaculatus). Nearly all that family know how to go - jacks, chinaman, red emp., red bass etc... I think a big moses perch is about 40cm, whilst some of there relatives can get a lot bigger Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
