james7
I keep coming back to look at that photo Marty. What a sensational fish! It's bigger than my boat! I can't even begin to imagine fighting a fish like that for over 2 hours. But I still don't think it matches my "monster" flathead. mrt11n@hotmail.com
Hi Mate, A truck showed up they sliced it up and off to the markets for sale... Funny enough from memory it cost us AUS $70 each and because it was sold for a price to the markets we only paid $30 each to catch that fish... I would have paid heaps more Marty
mrmoshe
G'day Marty. Fond memories of Mauritius and eating smoked marlin brekky, lunch and dinner. Deschanel
Yeah no conservation in Mauritius! I am from Mauritius and I find it a little upsetting when these monsters caught are kept but I think that the island being so small, people there can only get so many and there must be heaps more fish like that out further in the ocean. A very tasty fish though, most of the Marlins caught there go to restaurants and export.
