Belly Posted May 23, 2008 Share Posted May 23, 2008 Went for my first session of soft plastic fishing in Botany Bay on Wednesday as my uncle does not use bait and he was the guide. Took me to some of his favorite spots and after a bit of instruction on technique we were away. I have not had much success in the past and was keen to learn from him as he always seems to land a feed. It was nice early but the wind blow up. After a while I started to get the hang of it and managed to land a 46cm flattie and lost another one just near the boat. I was satisfied with my first effort and due to the wind we started to head home. Just prior to putting the boat in we did one last drift near the ramp and I landed this monster flattie. It went 76cm and weighed 3.5 kgs. Carn’t wait to get out there and try it again. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
