james1990 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 $#!t =).....sums up 7 hours fishing in wind, chop and no fish except a measly mack tuna on the troll on the 24 fathom reefs.... reef fished floaters...mid water and bottom with pillies for f-all. cheers james
james1990 Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 Plenty of whales, dolphins and turtles.... had a whale do a barrel role in mid air out of no where right in front of us...amazing sight. cheers james
wildfish Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Gday James!!! could be worse! 3degree am starts down here!!!
slinkymalinky Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Tough break James. At least there'll be more fish for me when I get up there later this year. I'd rather be catching Mack Tuna in 22 degree water than hypothermia and a cold down here though. Those Macks can be a lot of fun if you get them on light gear even if they're not much good for anything else. Cheers, Slinky
james1990 Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 In recent trips we have just been targeting mack tuna,. striped tuna, frigates.....baitfish really and freezing them so when conditions are right we can go out and have a few sessions of targeting sharks........CANT BLOODY WAIT. CHEERS JAMES
