Luringbream
Hey all, im looking at getting at buying a jigging rod from the T-Curve series and cant decide out of the 200 or the 400. I'll be jigging areas like 12 mile, the peak and terrigal in roughly 110m of water however i would also like to use it as a cubing rod for fin. I know the 400 is a bit stiff for jigging in sydney waters however is the 200 too small for an average fin? Can anyone offer any advice on which way i should go? abiasin
hi mate, i have the 400 and it is a smick jig rod. the 200 seems a little light on. id go the 400 especially if you are gonna cube with it, not too mention the large kings you may encounter on the offshore reefs. As for the rest of you guys Regards, Daniel Hi Daniel, Tell us what sort of line and reel you are contemplating to match with the rod. That may bring some more replies from other Raiders. Do you think you may also use it for trolling?

I'm fairly new to the jigging scene so any help in this area is greatly appreciated. Regards, Daniel
slinkymalinky
I'm not any kind of jigging fisho but I've got both rods in my stupidly overlarge collection... for that reel and line the 200 will be too light. It's rated to 24kg but if you think you're likely to push the capabilities of that reel even a little bit, you'll want the 400 which is rated as a 24-37kg stick. Both are light and comfortable... not that I've had any experience with any of the high end sticks like Smith's tho. Cheers, Slinky
