I wonder if they are compatible with other DIAWA spools?

Dreamtime
That's a damned fine looking piece of fishing equipment. How many bearings does it have? What is the recommended line class and capacity? What do you intend to target with this Mercedes class reel? Sorry, first time for me to see this model-where is it made? Are you able to get after market service for it - or is it really just a "White Elephant"? Not having a dig - but as mentioned - out in the boondocks here - I have just seen this reel for the first time. Congrats on a supurb looking piece of tackle - but will it catch fish?????? Just got word from Diawa Australia, This is what they said: HI, Spare spools are available, I carry many. All you have to do is go to a Tournament Daiwa Store, and they can order one for you. GregL
only 400?! i bought one few months after its release and bought one again a month ago. they must be doing very poorly in sales! Weird ay? Rumours had it that Australia got something like 100 of the 400 world wide. I have only ever seen it in Jap sites or in Australia. I ordered another particular Branzino rod a couple of months ago. I had to wait for another run to be done before I could get it. I recieved it last week. So they are still making the rods for them....... Maybe not as smooth or light as my Exist 3000 but I recon it looks better! G
