good on ya!

i love em so much i bought another just for the trophy cabinet :biggrin2:

just be careful because you have no idea how easy it is to chip the paint. take care of the spool too because daiwa doesn't offer it as spare parts. not from daiwa japan anyways

Cheers mate,

Thats prety silly that they dont offer the spool as a spare as it would be good to get another spool so as to have a choice of line.

I wonder if they are compatible with other DIAWA spools?

That's a damned fine looking piece of fishing equipment.

How many bearings does it have?

What is the recommended line class and capacity?

What do you intend to target with this Mercedes class reel?

Sorry, first time for me to see this model-where is it made?

Are you able to get after market service for it - or is it really just a "White Elephant"?

Not having a dig - but as mentioned - out in the boondocks here - I have just seen this reel for the first time.

Congrats on a supurb looking piece of tackle - but will it catch fish??????

Just checked it out. I know what you mean but, hey, Its the guts of the reel that we paid the $ for there for if we want to go to a fine line for say bream, its just a quick change of the spool.

How do we get them, can we order them from that website you recon?

Just got word from Diawa Australia,

This is what they said:

HI,

Spare spools are available, I carry many. All you have to do is go to a

Tournament Daiwa Store, and they can order one for you.

Regards,

Raef Johnson.

only 400?!

i bought one few months after its release and bought one again a month ago. they must be doing very poorly in sales!

Weird ay?

Rumours had it that Australia got something like 100 of the 400 world wide.

I have only ever seen it in Jap sites or in Australia.

I ordered another particular Branzino rod a couple of months ago. I had to wait for another run to be done before I could get it. I recieved it last week. So they are still making the rods for them.......

Maybe not as smooth or light as my Exist 3000 but I recon it looks better!

congrats !!!

looks beautiful

Diamonds may be a girls best friend but a reel like that would be better than a diamond for a fisho

what do you reckon ceph?

Bloody marevllous sportfish!! I do actually have one of those amongst the plethora of Shimano reels I possess. Very nice and sharp looking. Peformance is also awesome. They have one of the sweetest souding drags around!

Can't be to many left of these......

Only 400 were suppo's to be made.

I have 1% of them :biggrin2:

The rods will freak you out if the reel does this much for you!

G

Where did you get the rod from and is there a website I can have a look at them?

Cheers
