smokinjoe
At no cost your old EPIRB can be deposited into a recycle bin at you local Battery World store, in Sydney they are at Artarmon, Caringbah, Castle Hill, Girraween, Moorebank, Ryde, and Tempe or call 1800 406 406 Info supplied by NSW Water Police. pelican
If you go to the amsa site it has the details on how to unscrew and disable your old epirb ( all brands) before handing it in complete at battery world for disposal. This will stop any chance of piossible false alarms. Complete units are recycled with boards and cases pulled apart not only the battery.
Scienceman
No luck on the AMSA webiste for epirb disassembly, only this: * AMSA recommends you refer to the manufacturers User/Instruction Manual for the correct disassembly/disposal instructions for your beacon.
