Salmon On The Fly

I'm on holidays down the South Coast of NSW for a couple of weeks but the fishing has been a bit hard.

Everything seems to be shut down at the moment, even with the guiding expertise of Dene (Hodgey’s side kick )

So I headed down the local rocks for a fly fish while the kids had a paddle on the beach this arvo and landed 2 salmon at 45cm. Now I’m a happy camper

ps do you guys eat salmon down south off the border and have you boys put a net up only letting small snapper travel north or is that just a yarn

ps feel free to rib out us northen dwellers it's all good fun

The fly was just a Surf Candy

We don't eat them, but the dogs love them cooked up.

These ones lived to grow a bit bigger

so far only have the reel

i keep one sambo for cat food and once salted one even fish do'nt like sambos

Big cudos for catching good fish on fly from the rocks. Lots of fun but it takes some dedication.
