Jamiel1000
why do the mullet jump in the lane cove river (saltwater side)? people have said that they only eat micro alge, if this is the case why do they jump. I want to catch them on fly but the bread flies are of no interest to them even with burley around. I was thinking about trying some small dry trout flies as I reckon these fish are eating very small insects. any thoughts? cheers

Two of the popular theories are discussed here: Why do mullet jump? Raiders have offered their opinions here: Raiders' responses Hope this helps mate Cheers Hodgey
