Hawksbury Flatties & Crabs

G,day all, a brief report due to time constraints.

I have been having a bit of success lately fishing for flatties.

Went out early with the kids from Berrowra ramp, hit the water at about 6.30am

Caught heaps of Just legal flatties (any thing under 40cm went back), 4 small school jewies & 2 smallish flounder - had a busy morning!

Kids faired well with My son catching a 43 cm Flatty but outdone by his little sister with a 48 cm model that fought realy well.

Had the crab traps out as will & came home with 8 blue swimmers - not bad for a mornings work.

By the way does anyone know if the crabs can be frozen to last for Christmas Lunch ??

One of the highlights of the day was when cleaning our fish, another fellow came in with 3 flatties, put them on the cleaning table as we were finishing up, he went off to get his knife, I put our fish in the bucket only to look up to see a pelican jump? on the table & pinch the poor guys biggest fish !!!!
