thesquidking Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 G'day raiders, Me and a mate fished the harbour last night for jew in the rain and wind but was rewarded with these two jewies. It has been a while since i fished for jew land based as i normally fish off the boat but with this crappy weather we are having it was not woth going out on the boat. Both fish were taken on squid strips. Cheers Thesquidking.
reeseman Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Hey nice fish mate! they put up much of a fight?

thesquidking Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 Hey nice fish mate! they put up much of a fight? Hi reeseman, The fight was good (when you been catching kingies the jewies dont feel like they fight as much) but what was better than the fight was when the jewies first take the bait my baitrunners were smoking, gotta love it. Cheers thesquidking
outfisher Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Oh man they are massive jewies they must of been line burners love to catch one of those one day. I cant wait till the day.
urchin Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 excellent catch. where abouts were they caught? around middle harbour?
marcel haber Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Well done in trying conditions guys. Top effort all round. Twin 1
plankton Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Surprising how clean the water is in the Harbour at the moment following rain. I've tried for Jews after big falls and never done well, but on these occaions the water was much dirtier. The conditions may be perfect for them right now. Are they Middle, North or Port J Jewies?
thesquidking Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 We caught the jewies in the parra river. Also the water was not that dirty at all. Cheers.
southerly Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I love the photo, it blurs out the location beautifully
