Luke K Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 (edited) Hi Raiders, I went this arvo to one of my favourite fishing possies to have a crack at the Luderick. It was cold and wet, which eventually led to my demise. What a frustrating session it was. I got a 35cm blackie in the first half hour and then I struggled to get any downs for the next hour. At about 5pm, very large school of mullet came right into the corner of the beach I was fishing. They were so annoying. I could hardly read my float because the mullet kept knocking it. Everytime I went to check my bait, it was gone. I thought to myself, surely mullet don't eat sea lettuce. I had to start anticipating when a blackfish was taking the bait, which eventually led to the demise of this big fella, 45cm. After that, I was too cold and wet , so I went home. Still had fun though. cheers Luke Edited March 8, 2009 by Luderick Luke

yakfishing Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Hey mate, disregard my question in the PM I just sent you, I see you did get out again and faired better than we did in the morning! Beautiful blacky there, I'm gonna have to do a bit of research on the old luderick or it's gonna be another boring winter for me again.
