We headed out on a marlin charter for my mates 50th birthday We trolled skip baits and later livies but every time we were beaten by seals We seen 1 free jumper on the way back but as for the rest of the boats there was only 1 marlin hooked and tagged all day. Steve07 Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 That's marlin fishing for you,can either be a great day out with a hookup or very quiet when the fish don't want to play.You can have the the best baits or lure's & the best looking conditions but things can still shut down on the day.Still always great to get out wide on the bluewater in perfect weather.
