Geoff
Does anyone know where I can buy some striped tuna in Sydney? Most decent size fish & seafood shops in the suburbs generally have stripies. What area do you live.? There are 2 shops in Auburn & 2 in Bankstown Square. In addition to stripies they have , on most occusions , Yakka , Slimies , squid & School prawns Geoff

This shop stocks stripey fillets & whole fish.
Basil D
the fish shops usually drench them in a chemcal to keep the flesh looking fresh, dont know the name of it but not to good for fishing.

The fillets I bought are bait-only. Vacuum packed/frozen - should be no need to be treated with anything. I'll see how it goes. The same shop has decent Hawkesbury squid & prawns. I don't think they are Brooklyn antique shop fresh - but better than other stuff around this area.
