Transducer Switch

I am toying with the idea of putting a sounder on my bow but was wondering if anyone has tried using a tranducer switch using the one sounder head and switching between two transducers.

I have a Humminbird Matrix 27 and there is a switch available for this purpose for $110.00.

I've never used them Ozy...But I have heard they work great!

I run transducer selection switches off a Matrix 37 and they work fine.

Have you considered using another sounder base? If so, I should have a new one for sale in a week or two.

Hi Bill,

I have considered using another base but it means taking the head off one and putting it on the other everytime I stop and the risk of dropping it over the bow and then there is the cost of the base, power lead and another transducer which for not much more I could buy a cheaper complete sounder like a Garmin FF120 for $249.00.
