Bentstik
It was yellowfin season and for the life of me could not score a yellowfin after many many outings during 2007. Weather was perfect so we decided to give it another go. Heard of fin caught down at the southern canyons so we decided to head down there. On arrival we started cubing and set up a nice drift and everything was looking good and fishy, but again after hours of cubing nothing . We decided to pull up stumps and start pulling some lures back towards home. Had 2 bibless minnows in the corners and 2 black and purple feathered skirts on the riggers. A short time later both riggers went pop and I thought finally some fin. After a short fight we landed 2 fin but they were'nt yellow, we end up catching these 2 Albacore one went 17.9 and mine went 19.2 on the right, and as they say the chicken of the sea. We were doing cartwheels, but thats all we got. As for the Yellowfin that season I did not get one at all. Cheers Bentstik - Silvo
