Lureboy
I've been using Strike Pro Cyber Vibe lately and they work quite well. Gotten myself quite a few flatheads, trevalley and bream... so yeah I think this is my favourite lure for this winter so far.
gooddong
Any lure can not beat live Yabbie! But all the fish eat yabbie, so that is some noisy with lots of pickers.
Breambucket
Remember nippers are a gun bait so i wouldnt be too worried if he out fished you on the day you might of just been a little off I have been using berkley craws and ghost shrimp with good success recently which are sort of the same looking as nippers Vibes in the deeper water are real good in winter and for me personally the 3 inch minnows are coming back on for me where over summer i had more success with jiging grubs hawgs and squidgy fish Just keep changing it up and you will find something that works for you Pete

cjchen
good suggestions!! keep them coming@! im going to try drop shotting gulps since its more subtle and more towards bait i wonder if that works Edited June 4, 2010 by cjchen
Breambucket
good suggestions!! keep them coming@! im going to try drop shotting gulps since its more subtle and more towards bait i wonder if that works i would still use jig heads How light in the jig head are you going and what size leader? i rarely go over 5lb leader and 3 gram heads and thats in up tp 10m of water Pete
cjchen
im using 6lb or 4lb but that day it was dirty water so i was using 6lb 1/12 jighead in 2-3m light jigheads are good but man wind picks up u can't cast much i use 1/12 and 1/8 and 1/6 for places deep like 10-15m on still calm days next to the wharf , jigheads don't bite and i put on a 1/16 feed line down and don't even move it, with a gulp worm, i actually catch fish im thinkin its the same deal atm in winter , gulp bait? hhahe
