Tuf Line Xp Braid

Guess I am also coming in a bit late for this thread, but cant say a bad word about Toughline XP.

Have got (20lb) stuff on my Penn 5600 baitrunner & 320 LD. The line has faded a bit (the yellow coloured stuff) but after a couple of years of service on both reels it is still nice and limp, holds a knot & doesnt fluff up like fireline. Cant comment on casting qualities as I use these reels for baiting kings.

Have just spooled up a 4000 series Sustain with 150yds of 15lb Green Tuffline for the new Sluggo flicking rod so will reserve opinion on its casting abilities.

Curiously when spooling up the Sustain I ran on a bit of mono backing, then tied the knot to the Tuffline and gave the handle on the reel 20 to 30 turns and had emptied the new spool of Tuffline. No probs for the tackle shop to replace the line, but sure surprised me, as first time ever I have come up short on a new spool of line.

Dont know if this was a quality contol issue for "Wester Filament inc" or some unscrupulous punter re-shelving the tackle shop and picking up a refund after using 90 % of the spool.

Regards

John
