Whats the thoughts on re-circulating and oxygenating water? Do the liveies last or do they need the fresh water from the ocean? Im thinking of just putting a bilge pump inside an esky to oxygenate the water which saves me the need to run the 20mm tubing all around the boat.

Thanks for the help, ive been trying to sort this problem out for a while now.

if you not going to have fresh water flowing in i would just use an airater

give bergo a pm as he uses an airater and keeps 4 or so yakkas alive for some time the prob i see is yakkas shit a fair bit so you could just bucket new water in there every hour or so
