michaelchen Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Where can you stop the 150g of fish per month rules? Can you eat fish that is caught in rose bay or double bay without the 150g per month rule??
Moro Mou Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Gyday landbased My understanding is that anything west of the HB is a no go. East of the HB it is limited to 150 g per month depending on species. Ie Tailor, mullet and bream are the worst where as Kingfish, Flathead and Flounder are quite acceptable and you can eat much larger quantities. So in a nut shell yes you can eat fish caught at Rose Bay but the quantity will depend on the species. I eat fish caught caught in the harbour (including tailor) however not on a regular basis. another good link is http://www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au/consumers/keeping-food-safe/special-care-foods/sydney-harbour-seafood/
