Why I Have Removed The Post "help Me Catch My First King"

I have removed the post because as usual it became an argument about what charter is best, who catches the most kings blah blah

The rules state that there is to be no plugging a non-sponsor business in posts. There is good reason for that. I think it is really rude of members to start on about other charters when we have Mr Scotty Lyons paying for the privilege of advertising here on fishraider. There was even a new member who just joined and made his first post blowing his trumpet about another charter and how good they are. It was fairly obvious that this person was sent to advertise this business directly.

Without the sponsors like Scotty Lyons and the other businesses who advertise on here you would have no www.fishraider.com.au to log onto each day. There would be no social events or a place to come and interact with like minded people. I would like to thank those members who always plug member businesses and help out our community. To those non sponsor businesses who send their minions and sycophants to post free plugs, shame, shame. Why not jump on your email or personal message, send us a message and join us and advertise till your heart is content 24/7 and 365 days a year on the best fishing forum in Australia

Members, if you do go out on a charter make sure you mention fishraider and if you are happy with the service then suggest they advertise and be a sponsor on fishraider so they can plug all day

Above all, please re-read the site rules and play by them. It isn't smart to try and go around the rules deliberately because it usually results in removal from the forum sadly.

Thanks for reading this post.

......It is a pity people cant have their own say on their own experiences,,,,with-out big brother having to edit or monitor every move....

Anthony

You can say whatever you wish if it is within site rules. You can post all day about your experiences and share the fishing trip with us all - it is not the name of the charter company that people want to hear about it is the details about your fishing experience. No-one actually cares who you go with and if they want to know then let them know by pm !!!! It is that easy to abide by a set of rules.

If we do not have site rules then we have no structure. If you want to discuss rules then pm me Anthony for a chat.

I really don't see why Donna should have to explain herself or the site rules, they're pretty straight forward and easy to understand, read em when you sign up for FR and if you don't like them then don't become a member, pretty simple I reckon.

Happy fishin!

Totally agree that plugging non-sponsors is definitely a no no.

Can u add a sticky to fishing chat for kingfish. Theres one for blackfish, jewfish etc and it will see an end to people posting in the reports section on 'how to catch kingfish' which comes every month or so as you can just point them in the right direction then politely delete the thread. I think the prized kingfish is definitely up there with targeted species and there are plenty of veterans on this page who would definitely to share a bit of info. I'll make sure i'll add something if u do :)

Love your work Donna :D

we don't :argue: because :adminpower: rules and

if your not happy to follow you can always be :banned2:

and that's why this place runs so smooth :1gathering:

Chris

Yep that's it Chris. Just making our way through daily life these days is a hard chore, people come to fishraider to have some "enjoy" time not to get involved in stupid arguments.

I have many tell me that it is why they leave other sites and stay here, because there is no arguing and people respect each other

Make love not war :icon_peace::hug:

The rules are here after careful consideration over many years and they will be adhered to at all times.

If persons do not like the way the site is run or the rules that are in place for all to see, they are free to leave or ask to be removed.

There are no grey areas at all and these rules will be enforced by Admin and our moderators.

Fishraider is very large and active and it takes a lot of work to run and moderate the site and Admin and its staff have enough work to do without having to toe people up the butt all the time. We dont want to do it and I am sure that most members dont want to be smacked over the wrists either.

Some have called Admin ..BIG BROTHER ,well if thats what you think so be it , but its for the good of all and the site

Fishraider Admin.

P.S if you think that you may be breaking the site rules ? send Admin a quick PM and ask if your post will be appropriate for the forums and this will save everyone a lot of time and trouble.

By all means give members info on private message, sheesh we can't control what info you exchange on a private message and nor do we want to. Our interest is only in posted content.

We just need to respect the sponsors and secondly not be plugging a non-sponsor business in posts.

People are interested in reading about your fishing experiences and looking at great pics and the name of the charter is low priority unless you intend to go fish there in the near future. The only reason people make a big deal about who they went with etc is if they are wanting to advertise for that business usually.

People will message you if they want info.

Hope this clarifies it for you.

I am not one that is too much for rules, but I have to admit that keeping the rules tight keeps this site neat and tidy.

You don't have to go to far to see where others get it wrong and threads just become slagging matches.

Keep up the good work Big Bro's.
