Hey Raiders

Long time since my last post - too busy fishing!

The bay has been a bit on and off over the past 2 month but the last 2 weeks have been great.

Been getting plenty of bonito and tailor on the surface with metal slices and the usual flatties on the sand flats with plastics

However, yesterday - sunday we tried for Kings for the first time with larger plastics and did rather well! I was using Bozo stickbaits and my mates used the smelly 5in crazy legs GULPS... both worked a treat! We caught heaps of tailor but did not take any photos of them...

We had a ball catching the kings on light gear and managed 7 hookups in less than an hour, landing 5 of them.... they measured between 55 to 62cm. All fish went back in after a quick photo. Not too bad for our first plastic attemp on the knigs! We then went a chased down a school of tailor and bonito that were smashing up the surface for most of the morning... great fun!

Will be out again next week to chase them again - see you all on the water!

Mate, well you sure found a nice way to de-virginize your carot stix with a first kingy hook up!!!

Thanks once again for the one of the many "best" fishing experiences

Kingies on light gear, my Sol II has never had such a work out.... The sound of ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz brings plenty of smiles!

PS: My bad about dropping the metal slug :05:

Santa popped by Fish outta water and picked up a few more goodies..

yeah - it was great to get those kings on the new carrot stix... just need to find some larger units to put a bigger bend on the rod!

That metal slice you dropped over board was probably picked up a tailor on its way down.. there was that many around!

So santa dropped by the tackle shop hey ? There better be a few Stella reels and loomis rods in his santa sack when he pops over!

Catch up with you over the weekend.
