Botany Bay 29-12-10

[Penguin]

Hi raiders,

My son and Mrs Penguin were nagging me to take them fishing yesterday. So after I

finished a few little jobs we were out on the bay pretty late, it was very

blowy and choppy most areas that I tried sounding a few kings. We had lunch at

Laperouse and then joined the other of boats on the southern side of Molli pt

where it was at least calm.

I berleyed up and also threw some pilly cubes over the side every now and then.

A half hour and 2 rock cod later the Kings turned up, we ended catching 9 all up

before we pulled up stumps and battled the chop back to the ramp.

The Kings were all around 60-63cm in size, so no keepers however they were

fun for all to catch. Funny some of the looks we got from some boats when we were

returning them back to the water. Didn't see much else caught there other than baby

snaps. All the kings were caught on peeled prawns and pilly cubes free floated.

Nicely done John. Looks like the family had a great time! What a shame the kingies were so tantalisingly close to the legal mark. Hopefully you'll nail some bigger models next time. Great photos mate
