dunc333
take it to merc so you keep your warranty,im pretty sure you will void warranty if not done by a certified merc mechanic.
Catchin Jack
Any authorised dealer can service your outboard, you won't void your warranty if you take it to them. Give our sponsor a call, Huett Marine @ Cowan (02) 9456 1444. I'm sure they can service your motor and not void your Mercury warranty.
a boat
Hi, the services in the warranty period will need to be done by a Merc dealer and we can do that and at the same time change the details on the Merc Link system into your name from the previous owner or check to make sure it has even been registered as sold. Cheers, Huey.

a boat
H=i, yes warranty is transferable so PM your serial number and I can check. As for the service, if it has sa for that long not a bad idea to replace the impeller as well-they do not like sitting for that length of time unused. Normally the first service on a carby engine is simple- change gear oil, grease, clean plugs and check a few things. Cheers, Huey.

a boat
Hi Mate, your call on the impeller and do a full service including water pump on your 40HP would be about $300 if it goes according to plan. Cheers, Huey.
