Bald one Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Hey Guys AM heading towards oberon for a trout or two. Any reports would be appreciated. Bald one
Yarraone Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 dam is looking not bad at about 45% however it is landbased only... goodluck
abecedarian Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Its actually sitting at about 55% now, which is great compared to a year ago! Just the redfin got in during the drought and ruined it a bit, you can hardly catch anything but the mongrels now! That said the trout should be of better quality due to the additional food source in the form of redfin fry...
Bald one Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 thanks guys perhaps i'll hit the Kowmung then. Bald one

bigfella86 Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Yeah mate i live in Oberon and fished it last week me and a mate picked up 38 redfin in two hours using a rapala CD7 aimed at trout, i find once it gets really cold the redfin get a bit quiet up here then you should get some trout but abecedarian is right the next few years should start to see nice size trout around due to the extra food.
Bald one Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 Quick up date Definatly worth the trip. Bagged somewhere between 15 - 20 fish. not big, but mostley keepers, biggest going about 35cm Great weekend was had. Baldy
