Beach fishing noobie

Hi all,

I've just purchased a Daiwa Seajigger 305 - hoping it comes in this week... was wondering which areas you guys like to fish at during winter for salmon, tailor etc. I want to stick with the beach for now before trying the rocks. I'm looking at using metals rather than bait. I hear narrabeen has been firing pretty well lately.

Also, what sort of reel and line would you recommend for this?

I was thinking either a 4000 sized Stradic Ci4 or a Daiwa Seagate Light 3500H. For the line, i was thinking 20lb fins or maybe power pro.

Any recommendations would be great
