twinfisher Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 A bloke i knew in Sydney told me about razor fish. He,s been up here for some years, i,m a newy. He told me not to step on it, but they are good bait. Now this bloke is a renound joker, is he fair dinkum or telling me porkies?
Lightweight Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Hi Twin, There are some big specimens in Lake Mac, i have seen plenty at the front of my oldies place in Kilaben Bay. I have also "heard" they are a good bait for bream and whiting. I havn't as yet tried them out, just collected a few of their shells for the garden... Since you are on the lake, maybe you could do some testing for us?? Just don't stand on the buggers, they will open you up like a.... Razor! LW

Jethro Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 I have seen a few around the islands in Swansea Channel. Be careful as the ones I have seen only have 2 - 3cm of shell poking out of the sand
