REBSS
Hi all, i have a johnson 115hp 2000 model which started overheating yesterday. Once home i noticed no water was coming out when flushed so im assuming impeller or water pump. I undid the bolts for the leg but it wont drop. There is a rod attached to the leg so it looks like i have to disconnect this from the motor to drop the leg ? is this correct? Thanks in advance for any comments. Brooker435
Yeah Id say there is a selector shaft that you need to undo, Not too sure on your outboard might be able to undo it from the top under the motor or in the middle somewhere. Might be worth getting a book on the outboard to be safe and for future maintenance. Regards, Nathan

Brooker435
Good luck with it anyway, You might be able to find a parts breakdown for it on the Web somewhere, Give this a go, http://epc.brp.com/SiteMods/BRP_Public/BRP_Public_Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fIndex.aspx Regards, Nathan
tareeterror
You will find there will be a linkage rod joined half way down leg, probably behind a cover which will have couple screws holding cover, then need couple open end spanners to suit size, undo lock nut and undo the other nut connecting the rods, mark where the nuts were so back in same place, or your gear selectiuon point maybe out a bit.
