I just recently got my P's, and so this summer holidays(thinking early January)me and a couple fishing mates who i've been close with since I was 4 years old are heading off for a fishing/camping road trip, and were wondering if any of you guys had a couple suggestions? There will be 3 of us, and we'll be taking a couple kayaks on top the car so we can get out in the water if we need to. We were thinking Depot beach, any opinions? How's the camping facilities/fishing grounds around that area? We are in Sydney, and to be honest I think in terms of distance, that's about as far North/South as we'd be willing to drive. helliconia Posted November 23, 2011 Share Posted November 23, 2011 Taree and Harrington would be about the same time in the car and the Manning River would be great fun on Kayaks. Forster and Wallis Lake are a bit closer (ask Roberta about the kayaking there!). I do like Durras Lake (near Depot Beach) but can't speak to the fishing recently.
