Danjera Donut

Spent last nignt and thismorning at Danjera and nothing. Threw everything in the box at them. Could clearly see the thermocline on the sounder and trolled with leadlines and divers to no avail. That place is really turning into a hit and miss afair, last trip we boated 5 fish, this trip 0!

Of interest though, last night the dam was ragin over the spilway and the river was about an inch from Yalwal Rd, but this morning it had calmed down into its usual self, but the water is a lot cleaner than I remember it been. Also not as many Galaxias around, theories as to why?

Hi mate

I fished the dam a couple of weeks ago and we caught about a dozen fish for the morning. All fish were caught either on surface or spinner bait right down the back of the dam hard up against the steep edges. We fished it on a rising barometer and I see it was on a downhill slide while you fished it. Dam bass are finicky little things.
