Onajewagain Posted November 30, 2011 Share Posted November 30, 2011 Been a while between drinks, so it's a combined report. Hitting the freshwater alot over the past few weeks, and done ok. Started at Richmond with the yak. Dropped in at about 5pm and first cast "snap" (bass fishoes know the sound) good catch at about 25 cm Similar story for the evening, plenty of bass but the weed is really thick, so it's probably the last time I'll hit Richmond up. 2 days later the brother (who seems to be getting all the big fish lately) smacks a 41cm bass in the same damn spot!!! Bugger me if I've been outdone again! All catch and release and taken on soft shell cicadas. Good news is the bass are really on, getting some good size, and are really not that far away for a quick flick. Get out there, throw some poppers, and grab some of the best sport fish around.
