Hi guys

I recently got hooked with this big lips fish but noone know what its called. It's big, 45cm, bit of fighting. Two days in a row I got the same fish and quite same size. Also, I think the one that I took picture with the cake spoon is Silver Drummer, however, its color is weird to appear.

Rubberlip Morwong (good eating if gut cavity cleaned out)

Silver Trevally (fairly good eating if bled and eaten fresh)

Mullet (haven't tried, but heard they go ok)

Silver drummer (terrible eating)

The fish on the right looks look a blackfish with the faint darker stripes.

Don't forget, that not all fish will look like perfect specimens (e.g. look at humans)

Also, some fish do interbreed (but not as much as humans) and you will see characteristics of both species.

Yowie.

Did you catch the mowie from landbased fishing?

If so where abouts? never caught one before on a land.

This time we found lot of Morwong along the breakwall( the ocean size) Nobby's head. I dont own a boat for I usally seek for rock/breakwall.
