dean
Taken the kayak out 4 times in the last few weeks, all the recent rain and cool weather has really stirred the river up and slowed the fishing down. Most session have only produced 3-4 fish. On Saturday things were different, a slight rise in the river overnight really turned the fish on and 16 fish were landed in only a couple of hours. All taken on buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. Even though the the fishing is a little though at the moment the overall size of the fish caught makes the effort worthwhile. Onajewagain
Top stuff!! I've been getting them at Richmond on cicadas and wow! What a smash that is. For a small fish they have a great fight and the way they launch at the surface lures is unreal!! Swordy you can bum a yak off me if you like, I've got a couple and only 15 min away from the nepean. Might even come down for a slog too! As long as someone can show me around a bit, I'm a novice on the nepean.
dean
Thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed the photos, I'm trying to be more creative with the photos but have limited options in the kayak. Dave and Onajewagain, welcome to the world of bass fishing. It is addictive. When the bass really fire up and start smashing surface lures it's hard to beat. Not really familiar with the lower parts of the river as I mainly fish in the Camden area but if your up this way I can point you in the right direction. Stewy, whenever your ready I'll have more time in the new year. Cheers, Dean
