srudds100386
Hi all, Have been fishing Botany Bay quite often lately with mixed results as i have just purchased a new boat. I enjoy reading Fishraider posts to get any tips I can. Went out last Saturday and launching from Kurnell ramp. I was trolling a couple of usami 12cm divers and one smaller surface lure around trying to hook up to something from the schools of fish that were breaking the surface. After about an hour i finally hooked one... It didn't look too big so i decied to keep driving for a bit to see if the other rod would get anything - and about 30metres later the other rod went off! I gave my girlfriend the rod with the smaller fish which she brought in and netted herself - was a nice little Bonito. I had the other rod and this felt like a nice fish. Anyway put up a really nice fight and finally i landed it. It was a really big Bonito which i later measured to be 73cm. Kept going for a little while after that without any luck - however we did see a shark (probably about 1.5m) which was quite entertaining.
