dean
Just returned from a three day trip fishing the snowies. We spent a night on the Gungarlin and one on the Thredbo. It was great to see clear water and a blue sky. The fishing on the Gungarlin was great, plenty of small rainbows and a couple of browns. Even manage a few on the fly, nothing big but still fun. Most fish were taken on the spin gear, mainly zipbaits in natural colours. The Thredbo fish totally different and we found it tough, only a couple of fish were caught in the afternoon and nothing the next morning. The scenery on both rivers is spectacular and even if your not catching fish it's still a great way to spend a couple of days. Cheers, Dean

cc118
Hi Dean, The Gungarlin is a magnificent little stream. I actually leant to fly fish there many years ago. I don't believe it is stocked and has a healthy population of rainbows. Well done and great report. Regards Caddis
