On Strike
Have friends fishing both Thredbo and Eucy. Waiting on reports. I'll wait for the madness to subside then head down Eucy next week. Lots of fish in the rivers and with the rain maybe some freshies too. Paul On Strike
On Strike
Just heard back from Eucy, coloured and high but still fishable yet the fish appeared to have dropped back. Not many fish caught. My mate got a good 3.5lb Brown but that was it. He saw a couple of rainbows landed but most fishos with donuts. Nothing from Thredbo yet but I expect it to be almost unfishable due to high water. luderick -angler
Just got back day early Kowung high and dirty very little fishing done it should go off in another 4 days they got 2 inches of rain at Shooters hill on Friday night so that did not help and the forestry clearing in the Tuglow has actually contributed as the Kowmung normally flows clear or at margianl levels after that much rain! Coxes looked great on the way back but due to an injured party meber we headed straight back..........oh well Fish river next weekend.
Matt
Just got back from the Eucumbene, was very high on opening on day and the fishing tough. But it dropped and cleared quickly the next day and we slowly found fish, but it was one of the hardest opening weekends for a long time! The amount of anglers drawing blanks was amazing and the river was almost clear of anglers at most spots by Monday. Most fish were Rainbows the 800-900g range with a few up to 3.5lb, best was a 4lb Brown. According to a few sources the Rainbows had all-ready spawned so it looks like we missed the run. Lake was fishing poor too. The conditions were attrocious on Saturday too, plenty of snow and driving wind. The Bredbo Pub lost half its roof too!
