Hi All new aboard the site I am looking to fit a Haswing Cayman 55 bowmount to a Quintrex Hornet 435. However having the usual problem of bow rails. Has anyone done a similar fitout? I understand from some articles that potentially there is an optional mounting bracket available but I cannot find any information on it, any help appreciated. Ken1

Ken Here are some photos that may be of interest. In essence , the mounting brackets were custom made which raised the motor so it cleared the bow rails.

Hi Geoff ignore last question i see from the photos that you leave the anchor rope permanently out through the new brackets

Hi All,

I have made great progress i contacted telwater Marine and they were very helpfull I could have got a prefabricated bow mount plate for A$150 and had it fitted but did not know how it would fit with the Haswing Cayman 55. I opted instead to purchase 800mm of the Quintrex profile gunnel and had the bow mount plate made up here in NZ. Quintrex also supplied the paint formula which means that the finished product looks like a factory job. Very pleased with the finished product the rail was cut re-bent and re-attached to gain the room for the mount and the quick release bracket fitted. I have attached some photos before and after.
