However if you're using extra light jig-heads, baitcaster might give you more headache than joy in this case spinning reel will be the weapon of choice. Disadvantages of using baitcaster reels is the ocassional "bird's nest" you get when casting. However with more practise you can reduce the chances of getting the "birds nest" Hope that helps.
