dhype
Hey raiders Quick report as i'm buggered and need to wake early tomorrow to take some newbies fishing... Anyway, had the day off work so went for a solo fishing session... and what a day it was... Late start and did not wet a line till 8:30am...looking at the overcast conditions i knew the squid and flatties would play ball! Found some nice squid first from the kelp beds then hit my flatty spots...now... over the next few hours it was fish after fish after fish! Landed well over 40+ flatties ranging from 36 to 74cm, i got tired of taking photos... from 1 single patch i pulled a 70cm, 74cm and 60cm flatty on consecutive casts! (gotta love the minn kota spot lock!) The fishing was amazing today and the best part was i had the entire area to myself All fish released except for 2 smaller ones that came home with me... also caught plenty of crabs but dont think i will be eating them now due to the toxic algea bloom... The photos will tell the story! (i also have a short video of the bigger flatty pulling drag like a mofo! love that noise zzzzzzzzzzzz). Enjoy ! See you on the water Cheers Trung Edited November 23, 2012 by dhype

dhype
some very nice fish there mate, good to see the prawn gulps working. The gulp shrimp worked well yesterday... it's amazing that a lure that looks like a crap with zero inbuilt action can work so well! I caught a few with the crazy legs, pogy and 4inch minnows too... dhype
Epic session Trung! What depth were you getting the fish in? Hi Rob I fished 2 spots... 3m and 6m... The lack of boat/jetski traffic makes a huge difference when you fish the weekdays. Trung
