Ray R
G'day Raiders, had a nice arvo fishing after the southerly died down a tad. Fished mainly for blackies and scored a few as well as a bait stealing surgeon. Thought something was up cause I had way too many downs and stolen baits. I ended up hooking one of the little buggers, a very pretty fish, deep purple/blue colour. So enough for the weed eaters time for something different, try for a squid I thought. Many casts later I finally found the inkers, I ended up with only four and one tenticle (hah). I was there with another Raider Anthony (Anth 1) he also got a couple of squid only to be washed away by a wave. I gave him my 2 bigger ones as he was set on eating his ones tonight. Anyway that was my arvo, released all but 2 of the blackies, they went to Joe from Copa as well as the 2 tiny squid, he will use them for jewie baits.. Everyone was happy, enjoy the few pics of today.. Little Sawtail Surgeon (weed stealer) Avoca wash You know the rest...

Ray R
Hi Ray, May i ask what type of Squid Jig that is? I want to purchase a jig and wouldn't mind a recommendation? Size, Brand, colour? I'm not 100% sure but I think it's a Yamashita pearl glow in a 2.5 size, when you hit them with an LED light they really light up.. Butch Not really mate, it was only a small fish about 25cm's, I reckon a pig would pull these things backwards..
