Tohatsu 18HP Idle Problems

Have a 2005 Tohatsu 18hp motor and took it out for a spin today.

Got to the ramp first pull and it started but could not get the revs down. Sounded as if the idle was at 50% throttle or more.

Not feeling satisfied with this packed up and went home to sort this annoyance out.

Took the cowling off and everything looked in order and again started at home with full choke, no choke and still the same problem.

Any ideas to fix this idling problem?

check the valve on top of your fuel tank is open and u dont have any air leaks along the fuel hose and primer

i say its running lean to much air in mixture could be anything from carbies to head gasket, or as gazza said fuel line or bulb problem ,time to holla a Huey cheers dunc333
