PRED-ATOR
Hey Raider's Never fished SP's for Bass. Can anyone recommend plastics and retrieves for Bass in the nepean? Im thinking squidgy bugs on really light heads or resin heads. Cheers,
bassboy888
Hey Pred, I use plastics a fair bit in the dams, grubs and slider styles work really well. I dont know how many of the techniques will cross over but slow rolling the sliders (if snaggy territory or weedy territory try rigging weedless)typical bream techniques with the grubs on light weight jigheads. Lastly you can try the good old faithful bets spinners attached to the plastics. In the nepean keep to the smaller plastics and keep trying
Bass assassin
Cant go past a lightly weighted weedless jighead with a curl tail grub.I use pretty much a 'standard' Bream retrieve, but a little slower (cast it into shade, let it sink a bit, couple of twitches,repeat....) If your fishing very weeded stretches of the river,go for a 3 inch minnow, cast it into open pockets but make sure you've got that drag locked!!
