Hi, I have finally got myself a bigger boat to head offshore reasonably comfortably in good weather. I would like to try to target some of the dollies hitting our coastline over the next couple of months. Any advice would be appreciated on lures, baits, etc. I have always been able to get yakkas, but slimeys seem to be the livey of choice. are there any reliable spots to stock up before heading out.

When the dollies are on you can put just about anything in front of them, it doesn't matter. We have had sucess on the following:

1) Trolling skirted lures

2) Spinning with metal slices

3) Live yakkas either slow trolled or fished behind the drifting boat

4) Unweighted of very lightly weighted cut baits floated down a berley trail
