Can you use soft plastics at night?

I'm not sure if it's a really stupid question, but can you use regular soft plastics at night?

I fish quite a bit with them , but has always been daytime or dusky/dawn.

At night are the fish relying on scent? or can they see the SPs being worked ?

Yes, the fish can see. Stick to darker colours for a silhoutte effect against the moonlight.

I've caught flathead jewfish and plenty of tailor at night recently caught my first bream. All color plastics work but I like to stick to white pinks reds blacks and clears.

you can and they are effective. just hard to detect bite and control the plastic cause you cant see where you cast and your line movements
