Second Hand Outboard Advice

Hey Guys

Looking at a second and boat tomorrow and curious about the corrosion on the spark plugs, while everything else is really clean.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Assuming by pinhead leak that i would not be able to see the water coming from the spark plug as it is too minor.

The comment was posed as a question rather than the cause.

It's not uncommon to see surface rust on plugs as the steel (casting) is not corosion resistant & simply being exposed to salt air will cause rust.

If the rest of the motor is OK , don't worry about it.

I have not seen many motors without rust marks around the outside skirt. When the plug is put in or out it takes a little coating of resulting in corrosion in that area. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks guys motor run perfectly so i did not worry about the rust on the outside of the spark plug.
