rjc123
Good stuff! Fly always makes things interesting. Whiting on fly over the flats is something I plan to do a fair bit of next summer. Focused on top water this season which was great fun! Cheers, Tom

SargeRX8
This gets me excited. Ive got a fly rod recently and have been trying to wet the line but nothing seems interested. Awesome stuff. Are those bream being taken in really shallow waters? Is my 8wt too heavy?

Awesome stuff. Are those bream being taken in really shallow waters? Is my 8wt too heavy? G'day Sarge, they were taken in abt 1m of water. I prefer to fish as light as possible to keep line disturbance to the water to a minimum....maybe the fish don't care, but just being careful . That being said, I hv caught a 35er on a 7wt before, cos the wind was pretty mean that day.... Lizards tend to be more greedy and will pounce on most flies fished close to the bottom. Caught alot of em on both 7 and 8 wt. Edited May 19, 2013 by Agent X
