Kingfish1999 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) Hi guys, Just recently got a job and saving up. Was just wandering what size bait tank could I get without it being to big. Where I will be putting it, it has to be shorter then 45cm long and 32cm wide. Any shops to get them from and the most I will spend is $300 Any help would be great Cheers Ethan Edited September 23, 2013 by Ethan13

martymonsta Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Does it have to have an electric pump? You've got a few options if it doesn't - PVC bait tube, Plano trolling bucket or a home-made jobbie complete with manual bilge pump.
Brooker40 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I have an unused live bait esky set up with bilge and hoses just need to get a 25 litre esky I brought it and don't need it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
sifisho Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Problem with a tank on a yak is that it adds to instability, takes up a bit of precious space and (if its behind you) it can be a little difficult to access. You might want to consider a bait tube instead (its also a hell of a lot cheaper!) - if you google "live bait tube" you might find some ideas on the more specialist kayak fishing websites.

benm Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I made my own bait tank from a pet food container and bilge pump. Only thing I don't like about a bait tube is that if any of your bait fish are injured and bleeding (i.e from the hook), they are a great shark attractant when offshore.
