Tulz
A question for the Snapper fishos, particularly those who target them with plastics. What action do you impart into the lure? I predominantly chase them using bait but have been getting into using plastics whilst chasing them with varying levels of success. I have also been using the Shimano Lucanus jigs with some success. With these I simply place the rod in the rod holder and let the rocking of the boat impart the action into the lure. Any advice on techniques with plastics whilst chasing Snapper would be appreciated. Cheers

paulk001
Funnily enough, I get most of my Snappers on the drop. If the plastic does reach the bottom, I will give it a few flicks and then let it rest for a little while, letting the rocking boat do the action. If still nothing, wind it up a bit then let it drop again. Also as you probably know, a certain type/colour plastic which works one trip may not work the next so I like to keep trying different varieties until I do get a hit.
