Soft plastics weedless rig

Hey guys!

First post on the forum,

Just wondering if many people (in particular native fishos) are using weedless style jig heads to rig their soft plastics on? (so the hook is not exposed)

if so,

how severely do you think this lowers your hook up rate vs increases your hits??

In other words do you find it an effective technique for covering natives?

Id like to know about this too. I am only new to soft plastic fishing (Bass), but have found that they get snagged up really easily ... even worse then say a TN60 lipless crank bait.

I use weedless jigheads all the time for Bass. I have no issues at all at hooking up. You just have to be a little patient and not strike too fast when a fish hits your plastic.

I have mate. Scored my pb Bass with a weedless rigged frog just a few weeks back.
