Caught in lake macquarie Please ID( Longfinned Pike)

Hey Guys

Caught using an ISO float in lake Macquarie. 37cm. Ingested the hook so trimmed the line and released as I do with all fish I catch but appeared belly up 5 min later. Felt quite down as I would have loved it to create more fishlings for my kids in the future. Looks like whiting but had monster teeth.

Seems to be ok to eat as well - not snapper quality but reasonable.
